Community Outreach at Mt. Pleasant
When:
2nd Wednesday of every month from 5:30pm to 7:30pm with a meal served from 5:30 to 6:30.
Where:
Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church
896 Highway 92, Plumerville AR 72127 (in the Hillcreek area)
What:
We offer prayer, counseling, and food.
We also have a clothing closet that will be available when social contact restrictions are lifted.
What Else:
Those who need food at other times can call the church at 501-354-6365, select Outreach, and leave a number. They will be contacted as soon as the message is received and arrangements to get a food box will be made.
Those in need of clothing due to fires or other destruction, release from prison, or changes in home situations can also call the church. We have plenty of clothing for both adults and children.
We partner with the firefighters in our community to deliver boxes of essentials to those who have been affected by fires.
How you can help:
We currently have workers from various area churches. We welcome anyone who would like to help to get involved in this effort to show the love of Christ.
Prayer. Please pray that those we minister to will know Jesus as their Savior and Provider.
Clothing donations. We have quite a bit at this time but are still in need of these items:
• Shoes- for men, ladies, boys, and girls
• Coats- for men, ladies, boys, and girls
• Little girls and little boys clothing (birth-16)
• Men’s clothing (all sizes)
• We do not need any ladies clothing at this time.
Fire box donations. Monetary donations to purchase items for our fire boxes would be appreciated. It costs about $35.00 to prepare each box.
Work:
Every other Monday morning work time: 9-11am. Help is needed to get clothing ready to give out – sorting, hanging, tagging, and organizing.
Second Wednesday of every month 5:30-7:30pm for our monthly Community Outreach
If you can’t come for the entire time on Monday work time or Wednesday Outreach, come for the part you can- your help will be appreciated- you will be a blessing- and you will be blessed!
